Mind of McFarland #8 - I wish everything I ate had the same effect as asparagus, so that when I peed it would smell like the hipsters I ate for breakfast.

 

Mind of McFarland #9: Effie Trinket, "May the odds be ever in your favor". Han Solo, "NEVER tell me the odds".

Mind of McFarland #11 - I wish I were friends with a Viscacha. I would ask it important questions. They look so very wise.

 

In Canada, the day after Christmas is Boxing Day. I'm pretty sure the day after my birthday is Mud Wrestling Day.

 

Mind of McFarland #13 - Sometimes I wish I were a member of the Decemberists, so I could get away with rhyming "Telekinesis" with "Peloponnesus".

 

Mind of McFarland #14 - I love Simon & Garfunkel, but I can't bring myself to sing the improper grammar of, "I wish I was homeward bound".

]]> So I’ve commented in the past that my brain is a fun place to live. About a week ago, I decided that it would be amusing (for me at least!) to share some of those thoughts. I can’t promise that this will continue to be a daily thing, but for the moment I’ve got a lot of  these floating around, so I present to you: The Mind of McFarland week 1 roundup!

Mind of McFarland #1 - If cockroaches looked like tiny sheep, would we still want to kill them?

 

Mind of McFarland #2 - Whenever I see someone wearing a huge rasta hat, I like to imagine that's the shape of their skull

 

Mind of McFarland #3 - My girlfriend told me that she was claustrophobic. I told her, "It's ok, we don't have to celebrate Christmas."

 

Mind of McFarland #4 - Someone told me they'd like to see my head on a pike. I thought that would look pretty silly.

 

Mind of McFarland #5 - Whenever someone rings my doorbell, my mind adds "The Witch Is Dead".

 

Mind of McFarland #6 - A friend of mine hates zoos, but is ok with raising animals for food. I suggest a combination zoo/restaurant. "I'll have the white tiger steak, please."

 

Mind of McFarland #7 - Whenever I read about a "Gesture-based interface", this is what I picture.
